Privacy policy

A booking needs the names of every guest and an ID document number for the sailing manifest. We also collect contact details for the person who books, any dietary or medical notes that matter for safety on board, and the messages you send us.

For a surprise, we keep the plan between you and us. We write only to the number that wrote to us.

When you write on WhatsApp, we receive your number, your profile name and your messages through the WhatsApp Business service of Meta Platforms. We use them to answer you and manage your booking. We apply no fixed retention period to the conversation history; it stays in our booking records until you ask us to delete it.

With your consent we use analytics to see how this site is used. Also with your consent only, we share hashed identifiers, such as an email or a phone number, with Google and Meta to measure advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time in the privacy banner. It does not change your service, your availability or your price.

We share limited data with the providers that run the booking: messaging, payments, email sending, hosting and backups. Some are outside Indonesia.

Backups of our booking records are kept, with a limited number of recent copies. We do not sell your data.

You can ask for access to your data, for a correction or for deletion. Write to info@komodoexplorer.com with the name and the phone number used for the booking. We ask you to confirm who you are before we act.

We confirm receipt within a few business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity, or tell you which part we cannot delete and why. Your own copy of a WhatsApp conversation stays on your device.
