A private boat for 20 people in Labuan Bajo means Carnaby 2: 3D2N for 17 to 21 guests is IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) for the whole boat, IDR 7,000,000 (≈ USD 429) per person. Ten cabins give couples, singles and families their own rooms. Up to 14 friends can take Carnaby 1 for IDR 75,000,000 (≈ USD 4,601).
Twenty on one boat: Carnaby 2's ten cabins
Carnaby 2 takes 21 at most. Carnaby 1 takes 14, or 15 with the extra bed in the Master Cabin, so it cannot carry twenty.
Carnaby 2 has ten cabins: two Master cabins and one Deluxe on the upper deck, two Suites on the main deck, and four Superior cabins and a Family Cabin on the lower deck. Nine cabins sleep 2 and the Family Cabin sleeps 2 to 3, which adds up to 20 or 21 guests.
Anywhere from 17 to 21 you pay the same band, so 18 friends and 21 friends cost the same for the boat. The Carnaby 2 cabins page lists every cabin.
A cabin plan for couples, singles and families
A mixed group books as one party. Couples take a double bed each, a parent and child take the Family Cabin, and friends who travel as pairs fill the Superior cabins. Every cabin is built around a double bed, so friends who want separate beds tell us in writing, and we confirm the options.
Four cabins have a balcony with a bathtub: the two Master cabins and the two Suites. Settle who gets them before you go. Giving them to couples with something of their own to celebrate is fair; so is drawing lots.

Run of show for a group of 20
Day 1 on Carnaby 2: an optional first stop at Bidadari, a snorkel at Manjarite, Kelor, then Kalong at dusk with dinner on deck. Day 2 runs Rinca, Mawan Island or Manta Point, Long Pink Beach and Padar at sunset; day 3 is Sebayur. The captain decides the order on the day; the 3D2N page shows the stops.

The group photo: where twenty people fit
Twenty people fit in three places. The sundeck has sun beds and bean bags and room to stand in rows. The Padar viewpoint looks over three bays, though twenty people string out on the 25 to 45 minute climb, so wait at the top until the last walker arrives. Pink Beach is the soft-sand option, and its sand is pale pink.
Taka Makassar, the crescent sandbar, is only on Carnaby 1's published routes and shows only at low tide; for Carnaby 2 the stops are agreed. Nothing here promises sun or tide on your day.
Splitting the bill twenty ways
Whole boat, 3D2N, per person: Carnaby 1 with 14 guests pays IDR 5,360,000 (≈ USD 329) each. On Carnaby 2, 16 guests pay IDR 8,060,000 (≈ USD 494) each, 17 pay IDR 8,240,000 (≈ USD 506), 20 pay IDR 7,000,000 (≈ USD 429) and 21 pay IDR 6,670,000 (≈ USD 409). The figure falls as the band fills and steps up at 17, where the next band begins.

Who pays for what: the fare covers the boat, the crew, the harbour transfer, meals, coffee, tea, water, snacks, fruit, towels, life jackets and snorkelling gear. Yes, on Carnaby 2. It takes up to 21 guests, and 20 guests pay the 17 to 21 guest band, IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) for 3D2N, whole boat, or IDR 7,000,000 (≈ USD 429) per person. Carnaby 1 stops at 14, 15 with the extra bed.
Can couples, families and singles share one booking?
Yes. A private charter is one booking for the whole boat, and the cabin plan assigns the ten cabins. Couples take double beds, a parent and child take the Family Cabin, and singles pair up; we confirm the plan.
What if two friends drop out?
From 20 to 18 guests the boat stays in the 17 to 21 band, so the total does not change. At 16 it moves to the 13 to 16 band, IDR 129,000,000 (≈ USD 7,914), and the cost per person rises. Under the terms, cancelling 60 days or more before sailing refunds 50 percent, and 30 to 59 days refunds 25 percent.
Do all guests need to swim?
No. Life jackets are on board and snorkelling is optional. Pink Beach has reef close to shore and Kanawa is shallow; Manta Point has a current, so a life jacket or a confident swimmer in each small group is advised.
Which cabin is the nicest?
On Carnaby 2 the two Master cabins and the two Suites, each with an ocean view and a private balcony with a bathtub. The Deluxe has a sea view without a balcony; the Superior cabins have neither view nor balcony published.
