Open trip departure dates

Seats start at IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276) per person on Carnaby 1 (Sharing Cabin) and at IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) on Carnaby 2 (Superior). Every cabin fare is per person for 3D2N, with a minimum of 2 per cabin; the cabins page lists each type.

On an open trip the tour guide and the documentation are included. Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. Flights, a hotel before or after, insurance, crew gratuities and alcohol are paid by you.

On request, quoted separately: decoration, a cake, a photographer. Each boat's full list is on what a private charter includes.

Both boats keep the same pattern, so you choose by headcount, not by weekday. Carnaby 1 is the smaller, with 6 cabins. Carnaby 2 is the larger, with 10.

The calendar shows dates and nothing else: no seat counts, no "full" flags. Availability is confirmed when you ask, because a number on a screen can be a day old and a written answer is the one that counts.

For 4 to 8 friends, an open trip means taking a few cabins and sharing the boat with other guests. Once you're 10 or more, look at the charter page, which has the whole-boat table and the per-person figures.

An open trip puts other guests on board. They eat at the same dinner and climb the same ridge, and there's no keeping a surprise from them. A reveal needs the deck to yourselves.

Here are the numbers. Six friends pay IDR 11,670,000 (≈ USD 716) each for the whole of Carnaby 1, 3D2N, and twelve pay IDR 6,250,000 (≈ USD 383) each. An open-trip seat starts at IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276), with the guide and documentation included. A private charter leaves the guide and documentation out, so add them to the charter side before you compare.

2027 open-trip dates are on the calendar and open for booking. 2027 rates are on request, sent before you pay a deposit; the 2026 rates apply to 31 December 2026.

If your birthday falls on a Wednesday, an open trip will not sail that day. A private charter will: any free date, confirmed. Send us the date, the headcount and the occasion, and we'll come back with the boat that fits and a written quote.
