Carnaby 1 and Carnaby 2

Two boats, one booking: you write to us once, tell us the occasion and the headcount, and we quote the boat that fits. Carnaby 1 has 6 cabins and takes up to 14 guests, 15 with the extra bed in the Master Cabin. Carnaby 2 has 10 cabins and takes up to 21 guests.

For 14 friends or fewer, Carnaby 1 is the smaller and lower-priced whole boat. For 15 to 21, Carnaby 2 is the only one that fits. At 13 and 14 guests either works, and the compare page sets out the trade.

Both boats run as a whole-boat private charter and as an open trip on listed dates. Each has its own page below with cabins, decks and equipment as the boats publish them.

Carnaby 1 measures 26 m by 5.5 m, with a Mitsubishi 6D22 engine and a cruising speed of 6 to 7 knots. Carnaby 2 measures 32 m by 6.5 m, with a Mitsubishi 8DC11 and a cruising speed of 6 to 10 knots. Carnaby 1 has 6 cabins, Carnaby 2 has 10.

The crew belongs to the owner and is described only as helpful and friendly (Carnaby 1) or as a crew with a cruise director (Carnaby 2).

Each boat has its own list. Carnaby 1 lists 20 life jackets, 2 life rafts of 10 guests each, 4 life buoys, 6 fire extinguishers, GPS navigation, HF and marine radio with a distress signal, and 3 handy talkies. Carnaby 2 lists life jackets, life buoys, a life raft, fire extinguishers, CCTV monitoring, GPS navigation and marine and HF radio, without counts.

A speed boat serves each yacht for transfers and island stops.

The owner runs the boats; we run the booking, which is why the replacement-boat promise is ours to keep. If the booked Carnaby cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a boat of the same class on the same date at no extra cost, or refund you in full within 14 days.
