Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo stands on the marina waterfront, about 200 m from the harbour. Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo by IHG sits in the airport complex, about 3 km from the harbour. Between them lie the Pede Beach hotels, such as Sudamala Resort Komodo, about 4 km out, and the Waecicu Beach resorts, such as AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach, about 7 km out.
The airport is 2 to 3 km from the harbour, about 10 minutes by car. For a group that lands at different hours, the airport side makes the first night easy. For a group that wants to walk to dinner and to the boat, the marina side wins.
One arrival day for guests from several cities
The organiser's note: fix one arrival day and tell every guest the same sentence. Arrive in Labuan Bajo one day before sailing to avoid cancelled or delayed flights. A guest who lands on departure morning carries the risk for the whole group.

Rooms for a surprise
A hotel needs only the arrival. It does not need to know why the group is sailing, or who the guest of honour is. Book the rooms in your name, keep the boat's name out of the group chat the guest of honour sits in, and tell them the pickup time on the morning.
Pickup covers the airport, the hotel and the harbour. The time and the meeting point are confirmed in writing with your booking.
One more night after the boat
The return time on the last day is confirmed. Book flights home only after you have it. A group that wants a night ashore after the boat needs rooms for that night too, and we can request them in the same message as the first night.
For the dates and the rooms, one message to us covers the boat and the hotel, and one person answers it.

Where should a group of 20 stay?
Pick one hotel for all rooms, so the pickup is a single stop. Near the marina, the harbour is a short walk. Near the airport, late arrivals reach their rooms quickly. Ask us for a block and the hotel confirms what it can hold for your night.
Can you book hotel and boat together?
Yes. The room and the boat sit in one WhatsApp thread, and the boat is quoted separately.
Is the hotel before or after the boat?
Before, as a rule: arriving one day ahead protects the first day from delayed flights. A night after the boat is possible too, once the return time on the last day is confirmed.
