A private phinisi charter from Labuan Bajo gives your group the whole boat, priced per boat rather than per person. 3D2N on Carnaby 1 (up to 14 guests) is IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) for 1 to 6; on Carnaby 2 (up to 21) it is IDR 118,000,000 (≈ USD 7,239) for 1 to 12. Park fees and guide are extra.
One price for the boat, by band of guests
A private charter is priced per boat by group size, not per person. The table below has every band on both boats for 2D1N to 4D3N, with 5D4N and 6D5N as extra rate rows.
Carnaby 1 has three bands: 1 to 6, 7 to 10 and 11 to 14 guests. Carnaby 2's three are 1 to 12, 13 to 16 and 17 to 21. On a 3D2N, Carnaby 1 runs from IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) in the bottom band to IDR 75,000,000 (≈ USD 4,601) at the top, and Carnaby 2 from IDR 118,000,000 (≈ USD 7,239) to IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589).
In plain terms, Carnaby 1 is cheaper in every band it offers, but it stops at 14. Carnaby 2 starts higher and carries 21. All figures are 2026 rates.

Per person for 10, 14, 16 and 21 friends
Split the boat rate by the people aboard. For 3D2N, 10 friends on Carnaby 1 pay IDR 7,300,000 (≈ USD 448) each and 14 pay IDR 5,360,000 (≈ USD 329) each. On Carnaby 2, 16 friends pay IDR 8,060,000 (≈ USD 494) each and 21 pay IDR 6,670,000 (≈ USD 409) each. Figures are rounded to the nearest ten thousand rupiah.
Two things stand out. A group of 10 on Carnaby 2 still pays the 1 to 12 band, which works out at IDR 11,800,000 (≈ USD 724) each. And on Carnaby 2 the figure per head drops as a band fills, then jumps at 17, where the 17 to 21 band starts: IDR 8,060,000 (≈ USD 494) at 16 guests, IDR 8,240,000 (≈ USD 506) at 17.
Per-person prices assume one payer splitting the boat evenly. Fourteen and twenty-one are the published maximums, one on each boat.

What is in the rate and what is quoted separately
The rate covers the boat and everything it takes to run it for your group:
- the Carnaby crew, harbour transfer and three meals a day;
- air-conditioned cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom;
- free-flowing coffee, tea and mineral water, snacks and fruit;
- towels, life jackets and snorkelling gear.
Outside the rate: flights and airport tax, a hotel before or after, park entry, travel insurance (recommended), dive insurance (mandatory for scuba divers), alcohol and crew gratuities. On a private charter the guide and the photo and video documentation are not included; both are available on request and quoted separately. Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. The national park drone usage fee is also extra.
A cake, decoration, flowers, a photographer or a musician are never included in the fare; they can be arranged on request and are quoted separately. Each boat's full list is on what a private charter includes.
Deposit, balance and cancellation for a group
A 50 percent deposit confirms the date. The balance is due 30 days before sailing. Cancel 60 days or more before and 50 percent is refunded; cancel 30 to 59 days before and 25 percent; closer than that, nothing. Moving the date inside the last weeks carries a fee of IDR 500,000. The table shows each window.
The organiser's note: one person pays the deposit and the others pay that person back. Agree the date with your friends before you book; chasing it afterwards is much harder. The journal, Moments on deck, has a piece on collecting money from a group.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine. Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.

A spare boat of the same class if yours stays in port
If the booked Carnaby cannot sail for a reason beyond our control, we arrange a boat of the same class on the same date at no extra cost, or refund you in full within 14 days.
Weather that reshapes the day is a different matter: the captain moves a stop, swaps two, or shortens a walk. Stops and their order can change with traffic, weather and tides; the captain decides on the day. Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.
Cake, decoration and a photographer: arranged on request
Nothing for the celebration itself sits inside the rate. We arrange cabin or deck decoration, a special dinner for a birthday or proposal, and a photographer or drone flights with the park permit. A cake, flowers and a musician are not on that list; each can be arranged on request.

5D4N and 6D5N are priced here; the stops are agreed with you. 5D4N is IDR 98,000,000 (≈ USD 6,012) for 1 to 6 guests on Carnaby 1 and IDR 172,000,000 (≈ USD 10,552) for 1 to 12 on Carnaby 2. 6D5N is Carnaby 2 only, from IDR 196,000,000 (≈ USD 12,025).

FAQ
How long should a celebration charter be?
A 2D1N gives one evening at Kalong and one morning at Padar and Pink Beach. A 3D2N adds Manta Point, Sebayur and Kanawa. A 4D3N suits a reunion. On Carnaby 1 the whole boat for 1 to 6 guests is IDR 63,000,000 (≈ USD 3,865) for 2D1N, IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) for 3D2N and IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215) for 4D3N.
Can the route change for our group?
Yes, before you pay. Carnaby 1 has set routes for 2D1N, 3D2N and 4D3N; Carnaby 2 has a set 3D2N. Any other stop list is agreed with you. On the day, the captain decides.
What if a guest has a food allergy?
Tell us in your first message and again with the guest list. Meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner on board, and what the kitchen can do for an allergy is confirmed before you pay.
Is VAT included in the rate?
KEXI's terms state that listed prices include 11 percent VAT; your written quote shows the final amount.
What is the smallest group that can charter?
There is no minimum headcount. One to six guests pay the same whole-boat rate on Carnaby 1, IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) for 3D2N. For one or two guests who want a seat only, the open-trip fares start at IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276) per person.
Can guests pay separately?
The booking has one contract holder and one deposit. Whether the balance can arrive in several transfers is confirmed in your quote. It's simplest if you collect from your friends and pay us once.
Do we get a cruise director?
Carnaby 2 lists a cruise director with the crew; Carnaby 1 lists a crew only. How the role works on your date is confirmed before you pay.
