Park fees: what a group of 10 to 21 pays on top of the charter price

Updated 26 October 2026

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the entrance ticket of IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day (PP 36/2024), paid on top of the boat price unless your quote says it is included. The entry ticket is IDR 250,000 for foreign guests and IDR 50,000 for Indonesian guests on weekdays, IDR 75,000 on weekends; the national park drone usage fee is also extra.

The ticket is yours to pay, not the fare's

Komodo National Park tickets and ranger fees are never part of the fare. The ticket is paid per person and per day in the park. Foreign guests pay IDR 250,000 every day of the week. Indonesian guests pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays.

The rate follows regulation PP 36/2024. Tickets are bought online through the park's own system, and each visitor is registered by name and passport number. The national park drone usage fee is also extra.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

Fees for 14 and 21 guests

The calculator shows the fee for small groups over one to three days. For your group, the sum is one line: the number of guests times the ticket, times the days in the park. Fourteen foreign guests are 14 × IDR 250,000 per day. Twenty-one are 21 × IDR 250,000 per day.

A mixed group pays both rates. Count foreign and Indonesian guests separately and tell us the split in your first message; the written quote shows the total.

Ranger charges, harbour dues and drone usage

The ranger and local levies are already inside the park package. The ranger walks on Komodo Island and Rinca need a ranger, and the ranger fee is charged on top of the ticket.

A drone needs a park permit and carries its own usage fee. The photo and video documentation of a private charter is not included either; both are available on request and quoted separately.

Who pays and how to collect from friends

The organiser's note: ask each guest for their ticket money with the balance of the trip, and say which rate applies to them. Indonesian guests pay the higher rate on weekends and public holidays, so give us the dates early.

Payment day and method for the tickets are confirmed in writing, so you know when the group owes the money and to whom.

Fees and the written quote

The quote shows which fees are in and which the guest pays. Anything not listed is confirmed before you pay.

A daily visitor cap applies at Padar, Rinca and Komodo, in time sessions. The figure has changed during the year, so the booking is registered by name and the current cap is checked at that moment. Snorkelling is covered by the entry ticket.

FAQ

Who buys the park tickets?

The guests pay for them; they are never part of the fare. Tickets are bought online and registered by name and passport number. The payment day and method are confirmed.

Are fees the same for children?

Ticket prices are per person. Whether a child's ticket differs is confirmed for your party when the booking is registered. Children under 3 travel free on the boat, which is a separate matter from the park ticket.

Is the drone fee in the fare?

No. The national park drone usage fee is extra, and a drone needs a park permit. The photo and video documentation of a private charter is quoted separately as well.
